The symptoms are of a "stuck" Windows Key (WinKey) on the keyboard. You
are describing the WinKey shortcuts...Win+D minimizes IE browser, Win+L
logs you off. However you say you changed the keyboard and the issue
still occurs....odd.

Does the same behaviour occur if you hold down the WinKey and press L,
or D? If holding down the WinKey and pressing those keys does NOT
cause those actions to occur, you may have some sort of keyboard
re-mapping utility causing it, or some change in the keyboard mapping
registry entries that has reversed the action of the WinKey.

If the same behaviour occurs with or without holding the WinKey, try
repeatedly tapping the WinKey, the CTRL key, the ALT key...both left and
right keys...and see if that electronically "unsticks" them. I assume
rebooting does not help, nor turning off the computer, waiting a few
minutes and turning it back on, yes?

As "glee" writes in his reply, the symptom is of a stuck-down "Win key" (the key with
the Window's logo on it) but he is incorrect when he says that Win+D minimizes the IE
Browser.

Here is a list of the Win+key combination shortcuts :

WinKey = Open Start Menu
WinKey+E = Open an Explorer window
WinKey+R = Open the Run dialog
WinKey+L = Show Welcome sreen (or swich user).
WinKey+Pause/Break = Open the System Properties
WinKey+F = Find: All Files
WinKey+Ctrl+F = Find: Computer
WinKey+M = Minimize all open windows
WinKey+D = Show/Hide Desktop
WinKey+Shift+M = Undo minimize all open windows
WinKey+Tab = Cycle through taskbar program buttons
WinKey+F1 = Open Windows Help

Try investigating if either "Winkey" (it could be the letf or right hand one) is
stuck, by gently probing around it with small knife or toothpick...

I was merely repeating what the poster stated they saw....that it
minimized the browser window. It *does* minimize the browser window,
because it minimizes all open windows. ;-)

It's unlikely that the physical key is mechanically stuck on both
keyboards the poster has tried so far, but the symptoms point to the
WinKey. I don't know if it can be "stuck" independently from the actual
hardware, but I've seen stranger things.
