I need help. I am trying to download microsoft office 97. I have pentium 4
and XP. Anyway everytime I try to download it I keep getting this error-
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEMS32\AUTOEXEC.NT. the system file is not suitable for running
ms-dos and microsoft wimdows application. I really know nothing about
computers, and I really need this to download for school. Thank you for any
help. Carrie

Microsoft Office, in any version, is commercial software, not
legally available for download anywhere.

Some people say "download" when they really mean "install." Is
that what you mean?

If "install" is what you meant, this could be a couple of things:
1. The combination of the Avast anti-virus program and XP SP2:

First I would like to Say I DO mean installing.... I have tried to do what
Seth said and I can not find windows explorer. Also I can not locate the
%SYSTEMROOT%System 32 folder.
If anyone could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated....
Thank you

Systemroot System32 Folder is for example:
D:\WINDOWS\system32

My XP is installed in D Drive. Yours may be in C Drive if you have not
partitioned your hard drive.

How do I know what drive. Sorry I know nothing about computers. I am
learning. My computer came from dell.

%SYSTEMROOT%System32 = My Computer > C Drive > Windows folder >
System32 folder
