I need help with newsgroups

Hey! can anyone tell me how to get into a normal non-
microsoft newsgroup? say "alt.fan.pratchett"???

Two ways:

1. Your ISP very likely has a news feed. Ask them for the address of their
news server.

2. There are some free news servers - search for them on the Internet. Note
that a free news server does not typically allow you to post - you can only
read other's posts.

even though you subscribe to a newsgroup provider you may not be able to
access all of them because the provide does not carry it.

Go to your ISP's home page and find their Help/Tech Support section.
They should have information about newsgroups there.
