I need help with my USB ports?

For some reason when i try to use my usb ports for my printer and digital
camera it is not detecting them. I would like to know if there is a way to
figure out if there broken or if there turned off.

Are you using the same USB cable? Try using a different one.

Stating the obvious, also try different USB port connections as well as the
different cables....you know the 'ol process of elimination..

I went out and bought a new usb cord and put them in every usb port and it is
still not reading it.How would u check if your usb ports our working or if
they need to updated?
