Hi!
I deleted all files in C:\Program Files\Analog Devices\Sound Max, cause I
thought that a viruse was there, now I can't hear anything, the speakers are
working but I can't hear nothing.
My pc is a Dell Dimension 8400 series, Intel Pentium 4 procesor 540, and it
said "Integraterd Audio" Part Number "00009", but I can't get one software
from the Net.
Could somebody help me to get a copy of this software?
Thanks in advance.

If you got your computer from Dell, it came with several utility disks. One
of which has the drivers for your soundcard. Look thru them so you can
reinstall the drivers. Also, on your PC harddrive is a folder C:\I386 which
may also have some of the drivers. Use a little initiative and check it out.

Hi! Byte
I already look for it, even I already tryed to recover the files but I can't
couse the option to recover system was off, and then I try to use an utilitie
to recover the files and it never find them.
I was thinking that if I recover the files Smax4pnp.exe, and .sys and .dll
etc... It going to work again (the speakers), cause if I try to fix the
volume from panel the control it says that there is no "Audio device", and in
harware says "there is not a mixer device".
Could you helpme again please?

Mmm,
did you try to "scan for hardware changes" in Device Manager/Sounds and
audio devices. Another possiblity is to allow XP to check for PnP (plug and
play) devices in BIOS, or to install new hardware and pick generic microsoft
sound if you do not find sound max then update from Windows Update - you
might get the right driver if you are lucky.
