I upgraded my video drivers and now I have 4bit color and 640x480 res.
When I try to change the settings I can not drag the window high enough
no the screen to get to the apply and ok buttons. So I can not apply the
changes I have made. In the window to change the settings top right
corner all that is their is a ? and X, I guess the size of those windows
cannot be changed . How can I get to the bottom of the window so I can
click on the apply and ok buttons

You might be able to hit the tab key and hit enter to catch the right
button..., might have to guess a couple :)

Hi,

Hit alt+space+m, then use the arrow keys to move the windows high enough to
to see the buttons you want.

Hello,

The new drivers that you downloaded may not be the right one for your video card. You may want to
re-check and download the appropriate drivers or rollback to the previous drivers.

Thank you. That helped. Now I am back to the same problem I was trying
to correct. The problem I can live with, 4 bit and 640x480 I can't.
Thank you.
Rollback the driver.

What is the video card?

You must know what video card you have. Look on your receipt/invoice for
the computer - ask the people you bought the system from, open it up and
look, etc.

There are applications out there that can identify what hardware you have,
but I think they all depend on a properly installed system - as I think they
pull the information from the registry. Perhaps they do not - so I will
recommend you try one..

Once you know what you have, what next? Go get the latest driver for your
hardware/OS from the manufacturer's web page. For example, let's say you
have an NVidia chipset video card or ATI video card, perhaps a Creative
Labs sound card or C-Media chipset sound card...

I can't believe the STUPID responses this message has garnered. Simply,
right click on the Display Properties Dialog box (after selecting the new
resolution), select Move and you can use either the arrow keys or the mouse
to move the dialog box so you can click the appropriate button at the
bottom.

Actually all you need to do is make the changes and then press the
enter key on your keyboard. OK is the default choice on this box so
pressing the enter key chooses the OK button.

Ah, wasn't sure if that was the same on all versions of the OS...
