I have one hard drive but two partitions

Somehow I got a "D" drive. This drive has just about
everything. Then theres the "C" drive. It's only about 8
mb and only holds about that. Whenever I try to download
something, it goes to the "C" drive and there's not
enough room to complete the download. How do I make
the "D" drive the default disk that downloads will go to??

Go to help and type in "assign drive letters" read it
carefully, I recommend that you use the windows method,
the dos method is harder to undo if it isn't the right
procedure. It sounds like your buffer was inadvertantly
partitioned from your main hard drive, hence the 8 mb
size. Maybe someone else knows how to remove a partition,
or 'help' might walk you through it. Otherwise, assign
the 8 mb space to drive 'D' (only if you have to) and
change your other space back to 'C'. C really should be
your functional main hard drive space, a lot of programs
automatically default to it, not just downloading.
Chipsets look to 'C' for drivers, for one example.
Functionality is reduced when they have to roam. I hope
