Can someme advice how I can get all of them update to the latest?

Here's what I have

Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1051.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1441.0
Signature Version: 1.14.1532.14

1st of all, I can't get the updates through Windows Updates as my PC goes
through the corporate FW and the Windows Update feature is off. I have
downloaded the latest WD Beta 2 but could not install as it kept saying I do
not have the latest windows updates. So I'm in a catch 22.

Can't update to get what the msi file is looking for, can't get updates
through the WD.

Anyone got any clue on this?

Regards

Hello CM,

Change the WD version 1.1.1051.0 to WD v. 1.1.1347.0

Version 1.1.1347.0

Users who normally select advanced Spynet membership should be aware that
the install process will set you back to basic membership, so it's a good
idea to revisit both the Spynet membership area of Tools, and the Options
area--to see what's different, and check that your old choices have been
preserved.

I would also recommend: Download and save to the desktop. Close all open
IE windows, and any open Windows Defender UI window before running the
downloaded installer.

Almost I left out the Engine v.

Please look down 2 threads "Definitions xxxxxxx and engine xxx"

Yes, that's the space between a rock and a hard spot if you can't update
your critical updates. However we've seen that the Windows Installer
utility at version 3.1 update 2 helps with such installs. You should be
able to get that directly, Check Msi.dll in your system32 folder for
Windows Installer Package 3.1 version2 (3.1.4000.2435) If you don't have
that installed you can get it here:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893803/

Then make sure your installing the Windows Defender update package from an
Admin Authority logon account.

If that doesn't do the job for you, consider using Dial-a-fix:

I like Engel's advice:

1) get the newer code from the download center--link in his message (1347)

That should zero out your definitions, I think.

Then, apply these two definition updates:

(apply them in that order--the first one is a full update with engine, and
the second one is a delta beyond that.)

I got the newer code from download center but I could not use it as the
installer could not continue beyond after displaying an error that says I do
not have all the latest updates.

Problem is since my pc is managed from the company's IT, all the updates are
controlled and I believed they are all pretty up to date.

What I have done since is to reinstall the older WD and installing the newer
engines and signatures update, all the way to this status now.

Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1051.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1508.0
Signature Version: 1.14.1637.1

So problem now is that is there any way to update the WD to WD v. 1.1.1347.0
without installing the code from download center, like the way I do not for
signature and engine updates?

If I'm understanding your quote of the error message, you need some
particular update from Windows Update that is not available via your
company's WSUS server.

I'm perplexed about how to figure out just what that would be, though--it'd
be something recent, and probably something NOT security related--maybe an
installer update or a WGA piece--not sure what it would be.
