I have lost all my images in word documents. Only have box

I think someone has made changes to my Options in Word 2003 and I have lost
all images, including clip art in all my word documents. Only get a blank box
outline. Can anyone help? I have looked at the Options without success.

Tools > Options > View > Uncheck 'picture placeholders'.
