I have a problem of Word document page closing down online or off

When I am writing a word document ,after 2 or 3 minutes a window appears
headed " Microsoft Visual c+ Runtime library" it then goes on" Runtime error
/program files/microsoft office 10/WINWORD.EXE". Finally "Abnormal program
termination" .It is not poossible to close this window and when I click "Ok"
or try to close the box Microsoft Word closes down and I lose all my Word
document text. This happens online and offline. Please help.
