I had 13 unread mail then refreshed, it disappeared

I use multiple computers with the same login to my work network. When I
logged in to this one, I had 13 unread messages in my inbox with today's
date. I hit the send/receive and they disappeared. They are no where to be
found, including through a search. I have no rules set up and no auto
archieve. Please Help.

Recheck your View, Arrange by settings and make sure it's showing all
messages not just unread, new or something else.

I have experienced a similar problem. Sometimes when I used the second
computer and brought up my email it removed the messages from the server.
Check that each computer is useing the same instructions as to when to delete
from the server. One computer may be set to delete from server on exit.

Sorry, I addressed "Mary" before. The following might help:
Click on "tools", "accounts", highlight the account, click on "properties",
click the "advanced" tab. Look at "delivery". Make sure that the proper boxes
are checked with the proper info filled in.
