I cant use the fast user switching HELP PLEASE !!!!

I am using windows xp , when i press switch users nothing happens.
I tried to fix it by going to the change how users logon and off from the
control pannel.
I checked "Use fast user switching" but it becomes unchecked everytime i
close it
i tried everything i could but nothing will work

can someone help me please? thanks

Click Start, Run and type Services.msc
Double-click "Terminal Services" service
Set it's startup type to "Automatic"
Restart Windows.

Just read this, I was also having trouble with my Fast User Switching
(symptoms being that which Benny described, as well as Windows+L locking the
computer), but hopefully it should be alright now. Thanks!
