I can't send or receive messages in Outlook 2003

I just set up Outlook 2003 after using Outlook 2000 for a long time. I tested
the email account settings but when I hit send/receive, it says that Sending
is complete and Receiving is processing. While it says that the tasks have
completed successfully, my outbox still has messages ready to go out and no
mail comes in.

I recently had a repair in which the tech people backed up my files on a new
drive and cleaned my C drive. Outlook 2003 is on the C drive and I have been
able to restore my Outlook 2000 folders.

Can anyone recommend something to try? Thanks!

Have you tried a Detect and Repair?

Yes, that and more. I even tried reinstalling 2003. I finally gave up this
morning and have gone back to using Outlook 2000. I don't have the time for
this. It was very aggrevating. Thanks for trying to help.
