I cant remove program folder " Block checker"

I am having trouble removing a folder clled "Block checker" I have MSN
Messenger installed I have removed its entries in the registry and removed it
from the Add Remove programmes list. What do i do

Try from safe mode? Try from a boot up floppy or CD? Remove any Read Only
flag?

Wait wait - my computer was working fine and every thing was ok but then my
friend told me to install this thing and now I want to get rid of it there
was no floppy disk drive anyway no cd was in i unchecked the read only box i
have windows xp if that helps
