i use MSN and i think i clicked on something and this block checker pt itself
on my computer. every time i go to talk it sends some sort of a message
about block checker to the person i am speaking to. I have run virus and
anti- spyware checkers and it appears as adware. The virus checkers cannot
remove it and i have tried removing it manually but it wont let me as it says
it is running. I open the task manger and it is there but i go to close it
and then try to delete the block checker and it just starts all over again.
is there anyway to get rid of this. Thank you

1. What anti-virus program are you using?
2. What operating system are you using?
3. Have you tried booting into safe mode and then tried removing it?
4. Please describe any changes in your computer (certain popups, ads, etc.
that have suddenly appeared) that might be related to this "block checker"
and is there a name for this "block checker"?

If you are running on a Windows XP then go to the Comprehensive Malware
Removal Instructions section on the Downloads page of my website:
www.stopmalware.tk and follow the steps provided. Skip all downloading steps
that involve an anti-spyware program that you have on your computer. Since
the information you gave is rather vague, I hope that you will post back
soon so I can correct any changes in my post that might occur due to new
information.

Go through the malware removal steps at the following link
systematically:

Be sure to do the preparatory work.
