i cant make windows ask to validate in my office's network

i have windows home edition, and i configurated my laptop with the office
configuration (ip adress, etc) but i cant change from group to dominium.

so i can use some network recourses, but i cant use those who i have to
validate, like printers.....

did i wrote it right?

The purpose of a service pack is to fix bugs and plug security holes.
The fact that XP Home can not join a domain is neither a bug nor a security
hole -- it is a feature.
If you want to join a domain, the appropriate "service pack" is called
Windows XP Professional Upgrade, which you can purchase from your favorite
software retailer.
