i can't get online!!!!!

i downloaded the beta program on saturday night. ever
since i ran it for the first time, i can't get online! i
restored my computer to an earlier date AND i removed the
program from my system. can someone please tell me what i
should do? this is so annoying. thank god i have
internet access at work. please tell me what to do.

Hmm.. running System Restore should have cleared this up.

Read this Microsoft KB article and use the instructions in it as appropriate
for your version of Windows, and let us know whether they take care of your
problem.

Get winsockxpfix.exe at:

Actual Download link may be hard to find on the page but
it is:

http://www.iup.edu/house/resnet/WinsockXPFix.exe

It will fit on a floppy so you can get it on a friend's
computer.

Another useful program for non XP users is lspfix.exe:

http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

I think both programs clean out unwanted lsps and restore
the file: Windows\System32\spOrder.dll

In antispy, Advanced Tools System Explorers Network
WinsockLSP there is a list of lsp files and it tells you
whether it thinks they are good guys or not.
