Today I decided to start using outlook. So i imported settings, folders &
mail from my outlook express to outlook 2000. I can send & receive emails no
problem but I cant delete an email or move it to another folder. I get the
following error message: "The messaging interface has returned an unknown
error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook."

I have tried restarting outlook & have also tried a reboot. No luck.

Can anyone help please.

I can't delete "sent" items. The screen freezes. I have rebooted several
times. I have no problem deleting items in the deleted itemms folder. I am
using Outlook Express. Maybe our problems are related?

Try scanpst. (start menu, run, type scanpst) If that doesn't help, try a new
profile. Don't delete the current profile - we just want to see if the new
one works correctly. Follow the first steps at
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/profile.htm - if it works, then follow the
steps to use your existing store and see if it still works.
