Hello,

I 've always used windows Home Premium Privately to browse ww.migente.com
and www.blackplanet.com that has since changed 14 days ago now.

I am denied access to these two websites at Home but surprinsingly able to
browse them with my Laptop at work.

I've flushed my DNS, Deleted all Cookies and Temporal Internet Files but to
no availability of browsing both sites.. What could this be and can someone
help??

Denied by what? Content Advisor can do that, as can a HOSTS file entry.

You're using the same laptop at home as at work? Right?

There are only a couple of things that I can imagine that may be
different. At home, you might be using a different firewall. Your ISP
DNS host may not be correctly resolving the address, or the route to
those sites might be too slow.

You could call your ISP tech support and ask them to help you.

You could run a 'tracert' and post the results here - Start, cmd, key
in 'tracert www.migente.com'. It may take 5 mins to complete if it is
slow. Right-click the title bar, select Edit, Mark, highlight
everything you see in the results, hit enter, and then paste into your
reply post here.

A single reading isn't very significant, but if you run the tracert at
a time when you notice slowness or you can't reach the page at all, it
could tell me something about why it isn't working -- or, not.

A hosts file entry on the laptop would also prevent her from viewing
those sites at work, or anywhere else. The same would likely be true
of Content Advisor. It has to be something different between the work
network and the home network.

Hello there,

I basically use Firefox but in concerned cases as this strange mishap, i do
browse with IE 7 to compare whether the Problem is cause by either Browsers
as to be on the safer side before making decisions.

The connection to www.migente.com and Blackplanet.com always takes pretty
long that finally results to a Blanco/empty page; then certainly it is either
windows Vista which denies me access or there's a mysterious Programm running
at the back of my Computer blocking me to access both pages.

The most strangest thing is that, am able to Browse to every given website
existing on the Internet except the two mentioned sites.. This is no joke
mate and am totally desperate about it.

Youngandhopeful,

The problem occurs at hop 5 with ge-2-6.r01.frnkge03.de.bb.gin.ntt.net
which is owned by:
NTT Communications Corporation
1-1-6, Uchisaiwai-cho
Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-8019
JP

And that knowledge doesn't help us at all, I know.

The problem that you are experiencing is a problem with the Internet
backbone. Any response above 100 ms is going to appear as if the
Internet is slow. That particular hop (hop 5) is way out of whack. In
simple terms, the response is too slow for your browser to receive the
page.

If you were to check your route to www.migente.com and www.blackplanet.com
from work, you would see that it uses a different route (and probably
avoids ge-2-6.r01.frnkge03.de.bb.gin.ntt.net altogether) that allows
the pages to display.

You could send the tracert to the tech support for your ISP, but they
probably would not be able to fix it either. Your ISP can report the
problem. It looks like the problem router may actually be in
Frankfurt, Germany, but is registered to this company in Japan. So,
you can blame the Germans, or you can blame the Japanese, either way
it is an Internet slow down and you aren't going to be able to get to
your site until it is either rerouted or somebody fixes that router.

I'd say, just keep trying some day they will fix it.
