I can not install xp

hi my computer freezing when I tray to install windows xp Pro or windows xp
Home. If I install Windows 98 SE is work perfect if I tray to install XP the
computer freezing during install windows xp.

WANT I NEED TO DO?
 
check whether ur computer is compatible, u wud atleast need 128 mb of ram
for a smooth install, and lots of space in ur hdd..also check if all ur
hardware is listed in the hcl...and are u trying to upgrade or doing a fresh
install of xp..cos for a fresh install u need to reboot the comp with the
windows xp cd and for a upgrade u need to run the setup in windows 98se.
 
If the box freezes during hardware detection the first thing would be the
BIOS upgrade. Check a manufacturer's site. Run memory tests such as
www.memtest.org.
