I have just bought a copy of XP Pro sp2 and during the installation the hard
disk is scanned and identifies that i have a partitioned drive but does not
detect all of partition 2. It then moves on and asks if we want to setup XP
on the selected drive and during the setup process it says that errors have
been found and we are required to quit the installation. Am I doing something
wrong or could it be that the hard disk is corrupted in some way? Would it be
beneficial to format the hard drive first? I have tried to connect my hard
drive to another pc to scan the disk for bad sectors but have not been able
to achieve this. Can anyone help?!?!?!?
