I am getting an error message when I shut down..

The following is an error message I get when I shut down..

net.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on
OK to terminate the application.

Since I really HATE not having a system running properly can anyone
tell me what I have to do to fix this??

I heard it may be a Direct X problem but I don't know how to uninstall
and reinstall DirectX

If you are using a program called Messenger Blocker, try disabling it and
see if the error messages go away.

Well Ronnie..

THANKS

As usual when I can't find the answer I go to the newsgroups..

The users have come through again.. I imagine I will have to uninstall
the messenger blocker.

It seems a shame since it stopped those annoying back door messenger
ads from popping up.

Your Welcome. :)

There are other ways to stop the Messenger Service pop ups. Read the
