Hyperlinks in Windows Explorer no longer work

This is a followup to my posting, which has not appeared on the discussion board yet. My problem is minor, but I noticed that the hyperlinks inlcuded in the My Computer that take you to My Documents, Network Places, etc. no longer work. The computer is running flawlessly other than this minor problem. To replicate it, just open MY COMPUTER and click the link to MY DOCUMENTS. In my case, nothing happens. Has this been disabled by some update provided my Microsoft.

I did contact Microsoft but have yet to get a response. Thanks

I am not sure if this truly explains why the hyperlinks no longer work, but it is the closest thing that I could find at Microsoft
