Hyperlink updates crashes FrontPage 2003 under Vista

Guest

My recently acquired Vista o/s PC has Office Professional 2007 loaded. I have
a few years of experience using earlier versions of FP under Win XP.
In this new configuration, If I click on a web page already loaded in
order to pick up its hyper link address, FP crashes. This is such a basic
function that has been around for ages that I am surprised to see it happen.
Worse yet, Icannot find a solution on the MS site.
Anyone have ideas or answers?

This is a known Vista issue with FP, that MS is currently working on.

Hi Dick

Hey I`ll share a senerio where it will never work in frontpage unless
microsoft comes up with an update

1)Use are using windoes vista
2)You use frontpage 2002 or frontpage 2003
3)You are trying to edit the hyperlinks on a live website, I.e on the server
not a local copy

If all the above three statements are true belive me no fix for this yet.
MS is coming up with an update that would fix this for frontpage soon

you have 3 choices
1) Reverse publish the entire website to the computer and edit it localy
before publishing it again
2) Manualy type in the path for hyperlink insted of clicking the page and
clicking ok
3) upgrade to Expressions web.

The point is I am looking for help....
DUH...
Help Board...

Advice...

Funny do you work for them or something? You are all over the internet
kissing up Microsoft, and repeated stated that "they are looking into it and
will repair it soon"!!
The fact is that they have knowingly neglected it!

Is there a point to your rudeness on a help webboard?

So seeing you have such "knowledge" of the conflict, have you fixed it?

FYI: I only post directly in the microsoft.public.frontpage.client newsgroup.

If you want help, then call Microsoft Product Support for Vista, that way you can get an answer
directly from Microsoft!!!!!!!!!!!11111
