Front Page 2003 and Vista Home Premium

I have upgraded my computer to a new laptop that has vista home premium and
also have a full version of Front Page 2003
I am currently running the Military version of Office 2007 that I purchased
at the Exchange.

Question is should there be any problems loading Front Page 2003?
I do not want to cause Office or Vista to crash because of the load.

I was so disappointed that Microsoft discontinued FP and could not find a
good replacement for it. I for many years taught volunteer librarians how to
create websites using front page because it was so easy to learn and use.

It is best to load versions of office in chronological order - FrontPage
2003 (uses office 2003 components) should be installed before Office 2007.

Install FrontPage using the Custom install - do not install any Office
tools. Then you may have to run a repair on Office 2007 to correct the
bits FrontPage overwrites. Both will run without problems on Vista SP1.

The replacements for FrontPage are Expression Web - aimed at standards
compliant web sites, and SharePoint Designer - aimed at SharePoint sites
but is very similar to FrontPage and EW v1. My recommendation is
Expression Web v2. SD is a free download from http://www.microsoft.com
(sorry, I don't have the exact URL), and EW has a free trial from
http://www.microsoft.com/expression. Neither program supports VML
graphics, if that is important to you.
