Hyperlink to excel file on network

I composed a message and created a hyperlink to an Excel
file on our network. When recepients click on this link
Excel is launched and opens the file. Except one
recepient who's system opens the file in Internet
Explorer. I checked Windows Explorer, Tools, Options,
File Type tab for .XLS extension. I clicked the Advanced
button, selected Open and clicked Edit. The application
used to perform action was [path]Excel.exe /e. Any
suggestions?
