Tidbit: I originally installed MS Office 2003 Professional on PC's
without Outlook. I later installed Outlook 2003 with no problem ...

Problem: When I click on any hyperlink in MS Word, Excel or Access,
the Apps launch Internet Explorer (ver 6.0)and inserts the hyperlink e-
mail address as a URL in the address bar, which causes over 60 errors
to pop up ...
How can I make the system launch Outlook when the Hyperlink is an
actual E-mail address hyperlink and Internet Explorer when the
hyperlink is a URL ???? ..

P.S .. IE settings are correct ....

If you're using a non-Vista WIndows, you should try repairing the
"URL:MailTo Protocol" file type. Open Windows Explorer, click Tools>Folder
Options, select the File Types tab, scroll to the above file type, select
it, click Advanced, select "open" in the Actions pane, click Edit, and enter

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" -c IPM.Note /m "%1"

in the "Applications used to perform action" field. Make sure you include
the quotes and spaces. Check the "Use DDE" box, set the "Application" field
to "Outlook" and the "Topic" field to "System". Click OK, then OK, then OK.
