Hyperlink Display 2007

Thanks for the help in advance. When I open a .doc with word 2007, the
hyperlinks display as { HYPERLINK "\\\\mylocalshare\" } how do i get these
hyperlinks to display properly and link correct. I notice in the print
preview everything appears as it should. Is this by design? Thanks, Ben

Press Alt+F9 to toggle between the field codes (what you see now) and the
field results (what you want to see). This is the shortcut for going into
the Options dialog and unchecking the Display option to display field codes.

Thanks - right answer.. I cannot find the option to disable this though, only
can do keyboard short cut. Thanks!

Hi Ben,

The setting in Word 2007 options (Office Button=>Word Options) or
Alt, T, O,A) is in the 'Advanced' area. Scroll down in that area to
"Show document content" and turn off the setting named

"Show field codes instead of their values"
