When forwarding some e mails (such as the Outlook daily tip ) which contain
hyperlinks, I find that the links dissapear - even if I reformat to HTML on
the drop down toolbar box. Anyway around this?

I had a lot of formatting trouble too. Posted here and on other forums, never
getting a response. I solved my problem by clicking on the Styles/Formatting
icon (the two A's) in the top left when composing an e-mail. I think the
"Hyperlink" style for the hyperlinks may have been modified in the e-mail you
are replying to. You can select the hyperlink in the original e-mail to see,
then check to see what is displayed to the right of the Style/Formatting
icon. If you see "Hyperlink" then click on the down arrow to the right of the
"Hyperlink" style in the Styles/Formatting window at right and click Modify.
I believe if you play around in here you will fix your problem.

version of outlook? which editor do you use?

By disappear, I assume you mean clickable. When you send hyperlinks in plain
text, they might not look live, but are once received - it's just how plain
text is. If you type the link (or paste) and add a space at the end, it
makes it blue in most versions, with most editors.

HTML format generally requires you to add a space after the end of the link
to hyperlink it - otherwise it won;t be clickable on the receiving end.

Outlook 2003 thru Small Biz exchange server. Word as editor.
Yes,I do mean clickable ... ie blue.
You have taght me something which is that when forwarding a plain text
message with blue links, they don't appear blue (clickable) on one's own
screen but do arrive as blue. Many thanks.
However.... I preffer to change a 'received as plain text' to HTML when
replying/forwarding as I have a very smart Plaxo signature that only
functions in HTML. When I select HTML the recipient loses the blue, clickable
links.
Any solution?
