HTML + Signatures

Hi All,

Anyone have any good advice or know any best practices links to
creating signatures to use with HTML e-mail in Outlook 2003/2007

Someone I know is having a lot of bother with ActiveX tripping up and
graphics not being displayed properly on e-mail when they turn up at
the recipient.

Best practices is what I'm really after I suppose, ie what you should
and shouldn't do.

I see that quite a lot of large organizations tend to use just plain
text and steer clear of anything fancy.

Is that entirely necassary ?

using text signatures with basic formatting is the best way to insure they
display as you expect, second is using an image stored on the internet, but
it will only show if the recipient downloads images.

Here's a link to a email signature template which are tested OK on all
major email clients:

If you don't want to show the image - just leave it out of the
template, but most recipients know how to handle linked images.

Don't use unnesssary graphics in email. Glitz and glitter do not convey
information.

If you want to convey information and not fluff, yes, in my opinion.
