HSP56 MR modem speed

I have HSP56 MR modem. I have 56kb dialup connection. Now,
maximum speed for my connection is 28.8 kb. I have tryed
to speed it up in settings, try to install a new driver,
but XP is telling me that installation is not supported by
XP. What now?

It may be your ISP,I only achieved 36kb with my ISP with
an inclusive tarriff but when I moved to a pay per minute
service access shot up to 48kb [just weight of users on
the tariff system].Try installing a pay per minute option
and see what speed you get, you can always switch back to
current ISP.
