HP VISTA ACTIVATION UTILITY... OR NOT?

You seem to ignore the fact it is a HP utility.
Of course if you know the details of the HP utility, feel free to
asset the OP.
Or are you only able to criticize and offer nothing of substance to
the OP?

Your suggestion at "denial" ignores the basic fact it is not a Vista
utility.

"Well, no harm in looking elsewhere then, eh?"
Especially when "elsewhere", HP in this case is where the answers are.
What do you have against referring someone to the source of their
issue?

Didn't mean to jump on you, Ian. Maybe should have used a smiley to make
it look less harsh than it does now.
It's just that registration and activation are so often confused, and
that can (partly) easily be avoided by using the right terms when
writing about them.
So, nothing personal, and I didn't mean to be harsh. I'm sorry if I made
it look like that.

Kind regards,
Mark Veldhuis.
No problem Mark, but there are so many Trolls around here I do react
sometimes.

Yep, once again "NOT MS RESPONSIBILITY", no help here, just denial. :)

Is the way to prove that Vista has no problems to simply refer everybody
elsewhere?

Well, no harm in looking elsewhere then, eh?
Charlie who pays you to jump in like that. It is not MS this time is it.

HP puts all sorts on their computers that calls for reg or something.

Who paid you to jump in, I was talking to Jones. Why do you think anyone
pays me to give my opinion?

See this is exactly the impression, you "DARE" to disagree with the
Vista Cabal and the whole tribe moves in for the attack, ridiculous,
baboons do that apparently.

You didn't think Jones' response condescending and sarcastic?

Ian, you do try to help people here, that can be seen from the nature of
the threads you take part in, however some do not and simply troll or
"Shill". I really don't want to argue with you, but the impression this
newsgroup gives, unlike most of the others, is that it's largely
inhabited by "Shills" with very little actual help taking place. It is
not "All" the fault of what you might call trolls, if there were less
bait being thrown around then at least some might make less frequent
appearances.

FWIW -- This is what the HP website shows up with a search on "Vista
Activation Utility" -- with HP inside the quuotes it draws a blank.
