I have a whole new OP system, Windows XP (home edition),
Works 2000 and Word. I also have an HP DeskJet400 printer
which used to work fine with Win 98, but now prints
illegible text (here and there a word is visible, so I
know it's trying to print the file I want) which almost
looks like only half the letters are being printed. Was
first told it was the cartridge head. Replaced with a
brand new cartridge, no bloody difference. Then removed,
as per instructions in system, printer hardware and
reinstalled, following step by step instructions that go
with the troubleshooter and downloaded correct drivers for
the model anew from HP site. Can't even print a test page.
What the hell am I doing wrong?????? PLEASE HELP - SOON!!
