HP Pavilion 7850 reboot/restart/freeze issue

Computer is a HP Pavilion 7850 (out of warranty) with Windows XP
Professional SP1, installed on a new hard drive. 256MB PC133 RAM,
60GB Maxtor hard drive, ATI Rage 128 Pro, USB Wireless Networking
setup, Norton AV loaded.

Issue #1

The computer has been rebooting/restarting/freezing at random times.
I had them uncheck the automatically restart feature under the control
panel / system / advanced and the computer still reboots, it doesn't
show a BSOD. I had them double check the box was unchecked in safe
mode and it is.

I replaced the power supply and the memory and the problem is still
taking place. No difference.

I also updated the video card drivers (ATI) to the most current ATI
driver. No difference.

I had them run stinger (from mcafee) and it didn't find anything
wrong. No difference.

I had them check to make sure the CPU fan was working, it is.
Finally, I had them turn back hardware acceleration to none and now
the computer has stopped rebooting, but it has started randomly
freezing.

Thinking it might be a heat issue, I also am going to have them take
the side of the case off and put a fan blowing into the side of the
case to see if that clears things up.

Issue #2

Now for the really strange part, whenever they insert a CD-ROM into
one of the drives, the computer automatically reboots as soon as the
tray closes. Never seen this one before....anyone??

WEAK POWER SUPPLY !!

So, you think the brand new power supply is the problem........time to
find the receipt since I replaced the power supply prior to loading up
Windows.

Answer for this....it was the video card that was added...not sure if
it was a grounding issue or what, but the thing is now rock solid. Go
figure.
