I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I have a hp compaq nx9010, today i turned it on and the touchpad a keyboard wouldnt work, I message along the lines of windows couldnt locate hp shell etc etc came up and i just restarted it.The keyboard or touchpad will now not work, also the DVD drive is working on and off?? sometime it light up and works and other times it doesnt , so i cant reinstall xp from a cd. I tried to intall win 2000 from floppy disk, the keyboard worked in that process so im deducing that it is a software issue. So anyone any ideas? i tried using a external mouse and it wouldnt work, i changed the setting in the bios to let the touchpad and external mouse work at the same time, but nothign happened... so at the end of my teather, does it sound knacked??
