HP NX6320 Notebook Drivers

Hi There!

I have managed to get video/aero working fine. I have
drivers for my fingerprint reader, but nothing to run it
with :).

Right now my biggest problems are the mass storage device,
and unknown device, and my sound doesn't work.

its a soundmax adi high definition audio device according to
the hp website.. Anyone know where I can get drivers for the
sound?

Is there something like ntcompatible.com for vista?
 
hi - I'm having the same problem with an HP nx7400 with Vista RC1 Build 5600.
Attempting to use the XP drivers for the SoundMax card doesn't work with
RC1, works with Beta 2 Though. I copied th C:\Setup\Audio folder off another
7400 running XP to a USB memory - manually located the driver and it worked
fine in Beta 2. No such luck in RC1 though. I suspect the XP drivers aren't
100% stable for Vista..

Lemme know if you hear anything.. Have searched all newsgroups and googled
every few days to see if anyone has a fix.

hi JAL - no progress so far - I'm guessing this will be ok once Intel release
drivers for their 945G chipset - hopefully they release these soon eh!

hi - have finally found the following from Intel - works with RC1 and RC2
apparently - testing now...

I've got the official Vista installed on my NC6320 and the Intel 945GM are
default installed.
So this might be some news for you.

Still alot of legacy hardware isn't running :(
