HP LJ 1020 Driver Problem

I keep downloading the same HP LaserJet 1020 driver update (dated 4/17/2006)
from the Microsoft Windows Update Web site. I am told that the driver update
is successful. Then when I go back to check for other updates, the same HP
Laserject 1020 driver update is still there waiting to be downloaded. Anyone
have any ideas why I can't seem to update this driver?

Don't use Microsoft for driver updates, then can and have caused problems.
Remove your current driver and download the latest version from HP's web
site.

First of all, NEVER download hardware drivers from Microsoft for
non-Microsoft hardware; always go to the manufacturer's web site and
download from there. In your case: HP.
