HP Inkjet 2250tn

Each time I reboot this machine it detects the printer
device and automatically wants to install the software.
This is despite the fact that the software is already
installed and printer is working fine. How does one stop
this?

It's trying to tell you that according to Windows, it's not quite installed
correctly. Uninstall it and reinstall it as per
http://www.coribright.com/windows/Article One.htm
