HP G85 All-In-One with Windows XP

Has anyone been able to fully enable the G85 software including HP
Director, Scanner, Fax under Windows XP? I've obtained the software
from HP that supposed to support XP (version 3.1, HP OfficeJet K
Series Software). I've had a few emails with HP support, but I'm not
getting anywhere.

The printer will print just like a normal printer, but there is no
access to the other functions. XP appears to be using just a standard
print driver rather than the unique drivers supplied by HP.

Thanks Cari. Yes, I installed the softare before plugging in the
printer's USB connection and turning the printer on. I've followed
HP's instructions exactly. I have about 4 different HP tech bulletins
that deal with problems installing and uninstalling this software, so
I know I'm not alone with problems with this device.
