How WinXP join workgroup of Win2k Pro

Morgan Koh

I got 1 WinXP and 3 Win2K Pro in workgroup, but only 3 of
the Win2K can share file to each others except WinXP. I
don't know what should I do to make the WinXP join the
workgroup and share file and print to each other? Anyone
can help?

Thanks Rgds/Morgan

On one of the W2K pcs, click Start, Help and look up peer to peer
networking.
XP is just like W2K and should be configured the same except you need to be
sure the personal firewall is turned off or is allowing access to the w2k
pcs.

Go to the control panel and set it to classic view. go to system then
computer name. Set it to join the workgroup. make sure you do not use
any of the wizards or XP will take over as the controller. Make sure
you have the proper tcp/ip protocals installed. Also make sure you
install netbios.
