how to use a word document as a background on ppt slide

I would like to have a word document as a semi transparent document serve as
the background "watermark" to the slide. Each slide that I make will have a
different document as the background, not the same one each time. Any
thoughts on this?

Capture the word document as an image (SnagIt works a treat) and then adjust
its transparency and insert or make it the background of the slide.

Convert the Word doc to a picture.

In your PowerPoint master, use your Rectangle tool to draw a shape that is
the same size and orientation as the picture your created. Right click on the
new retangle and choose Format AutoShape.

Under Fill select Picture or Texture Fill (words vary slightly in PPT 2003)
then Insert File From. Browse to your image.
