how to uninstall the driver

Hi
Does anybody know how to really uninstall the driver? When windows detected
new hardware (pcmcia adapter) it installed its own driver. What I need is
hardware manufacturer's driver. Device manager doesn't do the job. I
uninstalled windows' driver & installed one I needed but the old one is stile
somewhere "underneath".
Pcmcia card behaves as it does with driver from Microsoft. Restoration to
earlier point doesn't help easer.

Use the Update Driver feature and point it specifically to where the
manufacturer's driver is on the hard drive. It will probably complain it
likes the other one but you can force the issue.

"The wizard could not find a better match for your hardware than software you
currently have installed"
I uninstalled the MS driver & installed one I need but when I go to
Driver/Driver details I see two files: the one I need & one from MS. Our
cards don't work with MS driver. The only way is reinstalling the Windows.
Can I avoid it?
