How to uninstal Win XP in case of dual operating systems

S

sudhakarreddy

I have installed Windows ME & Windows XP on my computer (Dual Operating
systems).

Now, I want to uninstal Win XP & retain Win ME.

I have gone through this news group & found info to uninstal Win XP and
revert to earlier OS if we have upgraded to Win XP. Is it the same procedure
I should follow in my case also?

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hi,

If WinXP is using FAT32, then simply boot to WinME and delete the WinXP
system folders. If it is not, then you will need to remove the NTFS
partition and create a FAT 32 one with the free space. This can be done with
fdisk from a boot floppy.

To get the normal WinME boot, load a startup floppy and run SYS C: from the
A prompt.
