When I start the computer 2 instances of " MY documents"
open automaticaly. I looked in the start menu "Start up"
folder and it is not listed. How do i keep the folders
from opening on start up?

This is a topic I'm interested in as well! I have a computer that
regularly opens an explorer window for the control panel directory.

I am attempting to answer a similsr problem. How does one
reset the default layout when Explorer opens? - e.g. to
show the same choice of directories layout at each
opening of Explorer.

Check the key
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]. Data in
the value Userinit must look like C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe (or
simply Userinit.exe). It is possible that this data is duplicated.
