I am attempting to send e-mails to clients. I designed the page in vista and
emailed it to my self, which worked beautifully; however, if I forward it
from Windows mail it is only viewable as an attachment - not in the message
section AND if I send it directly from Word 07 I loose all the graphics and
the text is garbled.

You designed the page in which program under Vista?

I designed the layout in Microsoft Word. It includes a few graphics and one
photo,
along withe the text. I make sure to save it in Compatibility mode,
otherwise all that is emailed are symbols not text. Am I doing something
wrong?

I haven't used Microsoft Word, so it's hard to tell.

However, when the attachments arrive, what is the part of their file name
starting with the last period?

You can't use Word as an editor for Windows Mail messages.
All you can do is save the DOC file, then attach it to an email.

The images are .png .wmz .jpg and text is .txt.
I don't want my clients to see all of them, on the original I am attempting
to forward the attachments do not show but when I hit the forward button the
attachment line pops up with the names.

After I saved the file I emailed it from Word to my WM inbox with no trouble.
The problems start when I attempt to forward the message out of Windows Mail.
I ends up broken apart and the attachments are sometimes received as
individual messages but in some cases the lay out is on the same page but is
completly out of sequence.

Tools | Accounts | Select the account | Properties | Advanced
Uncheck the option to break apart large messages.
