Hi,

How do I go about getting IE7 to save usernames and passwords when I
visit sites that need them? At the moment I keep having to input them
each time I visit a site. I didn't have this problem with IE6 and it
only started after the automatic update to IE7.

Thanks
Gerald

In IE7 go to Tools > Internet Options and click the Content tab.

Find the Personal Information area and click the AutoComplete button for
AutoComplete options.

Enable the "User names and passwords" and, if you want, "Prompt me to save
passwords"

I think that will take care of it.

We already have AutoComplete set up properly, the same as Shane
advised in his post, but we are not being asked if we want to save
passwords, nor is password being saved even when immediately relogging
back onto a site where username and password had just been used. Can
anyone offer any help? Bear in mind, my nickname is
ComputerChallenged for a reason.
