FTP Access in IE7

Under IE6 I was able to enter an address such as ftp://ftp.sitename.com,
then specify a user name and password. This does not longer seem to be
possible under IE7. How can I authenticate myself under IE7?

You can use this syntax:
ftp://[email protected] or
You will then be prompted for a password.
