How to Run DSL and Dial-Up on Same Computer

F

Using WinXP. I have tried several approaches but always
have problems. My inclination is to try to set up copies of
Eudora Lite (my e-mail program), Agent (my newsreader),
and IE6 each in two different folders so that one set of
folders will be used for my Dial-up and the other for DSL.
(In the case of e-mail, I especially prefer to have mail
from the dial-up in mailboxes that are separate from the
DSL mail. A basic problem is that I don't know specifically
how to tell each service where to put the mail. How do I
tell dial-up to use the dial-up Eudora copy of the program
and DSL to use tthe DSL copy? )
Your thoughts on all of this are appreciated. I am
afraid I am going to need rather specific instructions as
I have not been able to understand vague ones.
Many thanks in advance!
Frank
P.S. Do I need a program like "Tweakmaster?"

Doug-
I suspect this is exactly the problem and I'm pretty sure Eudora
Lite can't do this. I may have to go to full-blown Eudora. (Why don't
I use Express? I miss the "Send Again" feature and also am used
to the Eudora format.)
Thanks again for your help!

But.....
Do message rules mean that I can specify both incoming and
outgoing server names for both DSL and dial-up? I would think that
would be necessary.

I know what you mean, Frank. "Send Again" is a primary reason that I
started using Eudora instead of Outlook Express years ago. Since
then, I've switched to Mozilla Thunderbird.

The current version of Eudora Light (Version 7.0 in Sponsored Mode)
has "filters", which do the same thing as Outlook Express "message
rules". I think that earlier versions of Eudora Light also have them.

To get started, click Tools | Filters. You can create filters based
many criteria, including which Eudora personality receives a message,
and the filters can move messages to specific folders.

News group comp.mail.eudora.ms-windows is a good source for Eudora
help.
