How to restore IE icon (not the shortcut icon)

After modified some settings in IE, the IE icon is disappeared. How should I
restore it? (Not the shorcut icon)

Windows version?

Win98: In IE, Tools | Internet Options | Advanced | Show IE on the desktop.

WinXP: Right click a blank spot on the desktop and choose Properties. On
the Desktop tab click Customize Desktop. Place a check mark in the obvious
box.

The OS is WindowsXP.
It can't fix even I check the box at Customize Desktop. The icon is still
lost. Any solution? Thx

You checked the box for Internet Explorer and there is still no icon for it
on the desktop? Right click the desktop and place the mouse pointer over
"Arrange Icons by". Make sure "Show desktop icons" has a check mark.
