IE Browser Desktop Icon

Hi, Does anyone know how to restore the "blue e" icon for
IE Browser to my desktop WITHOUT an embedded black arrow
indicating it is a shortcut? Right clicking IE, then
properties, change icon, selecting the current "blue e"
icon, and finally applying my choice still gives me an IE
Browser icon as a shortcut on my desktop. Can't I have an
IE Browser icon on my desktop that is NOT a shortcut?

Open IE > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Check "Show Internet
Explorer on Desktop"
